Speech and Language Therapist

Overview

SPECIALIST SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST – Based in the Therapy Team, Children’s Services, Braithwell School, Braithwell (Doncaster).

Salary: Equivalent to NHS Band 6 (£38,682 - £46,580 depending on experience) (FTE).

Hours: Part time, 15 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum.

Location: Braithwell School, Braithwell (Doncaster) – part of Autism East Midlands.

• Provide person-centred speech and language therapy support.
• Work closely with education colleagues to support the progress and development of students in line with their EHCP.
• Assess communication needs, develop systems of communication and programmes of intervention for a specific caseload.
• Support training in topics associated with learning, communication, and autism.
• Be involved in MDT meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary service delivery.

• Empathic, creative and skilled Band 6 speech and language therapist with relevant experience working with Autistic children and young people.
• Experience of evidence-based practice in supporting autistic children and young people, including those with learning disabilities; committed to developing knowledge and skills further.
