Pharmacy Technician

Position Overview

We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to work Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 37.5 hours per week at HMP Hatfield, a men's prison near Doncaster.

• Provide outstanding quality, patient‑centred care and listen to patient feedback to personalise care.
• Ensure safe and secure medicines management services, maintaining patient medical records to the agreed standard.
• Follow standard operating procedures and professional standards, delivering non‑judgemental care within scope.
• Administer medicines timely and analyse cost‑effective prescribing in line with the unique Health in Justice medicines policy.
• Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Operate unsupervised while following policies and procedures.

• NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC, or equivalent.
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD).
• Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience.
• General GCSE education or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment (desirable).

HMP Hatfield consists of Hatfield Main and Hatfield Lakes sites, located near Doncaster.

Full time salary range £34,428 – £41,658 per annum, depending on experience.
