Overview
The Doncaster and Bassetlaw Children’s Therapy Service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist. This exciting role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to deliver specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment to children and young people of Doncaster and Bassetlaw across inpatient, outpatient and community settings. The successful applicant will manage a musculoskeletal outpatient caseload and a neurodevelopmental community caseload, and the team also provides intervention to orthopaedic and respiratory inpatients when required.
A comprehensive supervision and training package is in place and opportunities for further development are available, including the potential to participate in research projects.
- Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment, management, treatment and advice to children and young people.
- Manage own musculoskeletal outpatient and neurodevelopmental community caseloads.
- Deliver orthopaedic and respiratory inpatient interventions when required.
- Work collaboratively with health, social care, local authority and other agencies to meet patients’ needs.
- Use resources efficiently and effectively within the team.
- Contribute to the development of the service and the wider therapy service.
- Ensure clinical governance is integral to service delivery.
- Participate in the Physiotherapy Cardio‑Respiratory On‑Call Service or an agreed alternative 7‑Day Service.
Band 6 physiotherapist with experience in paediatric physiotherapy, an appropriate registration as a physiotherapist and a clinical background in musculoskeletal and neurodevelopmental management.
