Job Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care Team at HMP Lindholme
, a Category C/D male prison near Hatfield Woodhouse in Yorkshire.
Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Salary is up to £29,723 per annum, depending on experience.

- Deliver exceptional care to patients, both in the healthcare department and on the wings
- Facilitate clinics, including bloods, observations, ECGs, NHS Health checks and other assessments
- Support the implementation of clinical care packages
- Assist the nursing team with all aspects of care
- Act as a second checker in pharmacy as required
- Support reception duties for new patients entering the prison and triage new patients
- Work primarily within the primary care, mental health and substance misuse teams, with possible duties in any of these teams

- Ideally hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or a Care Certificate
- Experience in phlebotomy (highly desirable)
- Experience in a clinical care setting, preferably in a hospital or prison environment
- Clinical experience with venepuncture, ECGs and similar procedures
- A non‑judgemental and compassionate approach to patient care
