What you will do:

Work as part of the theatre team to deliver exceptional, individualised patient care throughout the perioperative pathway.

Support surgical procedures by providing skilled scrub assistance and maintaining high clinical standards.

Communicate effectively with patients, consultants, and colleagues to ensure excellent patient experiences and service delivery.

Adhere to organisational policies, procedures, and best practice guidelines to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.

Plan and prepare equipment, instruments, and consumables required for surgical procedures.

Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient theatre environment at all times.

Participate in team activities, service improvements, and quality initiatives.

Support colleagues and contribute to the effective functioning of the wider theatre department.

Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with professional and regulatory requirements.

Person Specification:

Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse or HCPC registration as an Operating Department Practitioner.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Strong customer service and patient care skills.

Good IT and computer literacy skills.

Commitment to maintaining high clinical standards and continuous professional development.

Advanced Life Support (ALS) qualification.

Experience in major orthopaedic scrub practice.
