The City of Doncaster Council is a confident, ambitious organisation which puts improving the life of its residents at the centre of everything we do. You have an opportunity to be part of this in the role of a Senior Legal Officer focussing on housing disrepair, alongside housing possession and injunction work.

Duties include:delivery of high quality legal support, advice and advocacy in relation to housing litigation work, mainly focusing on housing disrepair civil claims. The role will also include possession and housing injunction work and other work carried out by the Litigation team and to support the Head of Service and the Team Manager on complex legal matters. The role will involve working with and supporting St Leger Homes of Doncaster who the Arms Length Management Organisation that manage our council house stock.

As a Qualified and admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court or called as a Barrister
* or is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives* (
* and are authorised to conduct litigation) and holding a current practicing certificate, you will work with other dedicated legal professionals to provide quality legal services to the Council and for St Leger Homes of Doncaster.

You will work within the Litigation team with a bright and friendly team of lawyers.
