Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be partnered with a growing electrical cable wholesaler at a pivotal stage of expansion within the UK, with the search & selection of a Procurement Manager, for their UK operations.

Sourcing products from the Middle East and North Africa markets, this is a key role for an experienced procurement professional who can build and manage a robust supplier base across Türkiye, Egypt, Tunisia and the wider MENA region, ensuring reliable, high-quality supply into the UK. You’ll have the autonomy to shape sourcing strategy while working closely with senior leadership in Doncaster & Erith.

About the Role:

This role is responsible for leading end-to-end procurement of electrical cables from international suppliers, with a focus on strategic sourcing and supply chain optimisation across MENA markets. You will drive supplier selection, contract negotiation and performance management to secure competitive pricing, consistent quality and dependable delivery. Your work will directly impact margin, service levels and the company’s ability to meet growing customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, evaluate and onboard new electrical cable suppliers across Türkiye, Egypt, Tunisia and the wider MENA region.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to optimise cost, quality and lead times while maintaining supply continuity.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, contracts and service-level agreements with international vendors.
  • Manage ongoing vendor relationships, including performance reviews, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate international procurement activities, including order placement, shipment tracking and customs-related documentation.
  • Monitor supplier quality and compliance, working with internal teams to resolve technical or quality issues.
  • Assess supply chain risks in target regions and implement mitigation strategies to protect availability and pricing.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in sales, operations and finance to align procurement plans with business needs.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within electrical cable, electrical distribution, or a closely related industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical cable products, specifications and technical considerations relevant to wholesale and distribution.
  • Demonstrable track record in strategic sourcing and supplier selection in international markets.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and commercial agreements with overseas vendors.
  • Familiarity with international procurement processes, incoterms and cross-border trade practices.
  • Ability to analyse supplier performance data and drive measurable improvements in cost, quality and delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake regular international travel to Türkiye, Egypt, Tunisia and wider MENA regions.
  • Existing supplier networks or contacts within the MENA electrical cable or electrical components market.
  • Experience working with wholesalers or distributors in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
  • Knowledge of regional logistics, shipping routes and customs requirements across MENA.
  • Exposure to supply chain risk management tools or methodologies.
  • Basic language skills in Turkish, Arabic or French.
Qualifications:
  • Degree-level education in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Additional training or certification in international trade, logistics or contract management advantageous.
