General Workshop

Overview

General Workshop Support - Doncaster - £27-28k. Must have a full UK driving licence; this position is based in the workshop, with responsibilities that include driving the company vehicle to pick up stock for engineers and performing general warehouse work, labouring, moving stock, and routine housekeeping. The company maintains and repairs mechanical handling equipment and machinery and will progress staff with training, so this is an ideal position for an experienced labourer who would like to develop their skills further and move into engineering eventually.

• Carry out a mixture of general warehouse duties as well as workshop and yard-based housekeeping in a safe and professional manner with care and attention.
• Handle products that can be large and heavy; labouring and moving stock as required.
• Drive the company vehicle to pick up stock for engineers when needed.

• Full UK driving licence
• Experience in a general labouring role or similar
• Good attitude with the ability to stay motivated and productive
• Willingness to take ownership of a wide range of general duties
• Ability to work independently on sites in a safe manner, considering safety for yourself and others

• Salary: £27,000 to £28,000 depending on experience, skills and abilities
• Hours:
  
  Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm (40 hours per week)
• Holidays: 25 days plus 8 statutory days, increasing to 28 days plus 8 stat over time
• Contributory pension: 4%
