The Role

We are looking for an experienced Vehicle TSARA Technician to join a technical operations team based in Thorne. This role is ideal for a qualified Vehicle Technician who has strong diagnostic knowledge and is confident dealing with technical vehicle cases. You will be responsible for handling TSARA cases submitted by BMW and MINI Retailers, ensuring all information is reviewed, researched, recorded and responded to accurately within agreed KPIs.

This is a technical support-based role, using your workshop and diagnostic experience to help resolve cases efficiently and support the wider retailer network.

Salary / Skillset Structure
  • Technician NVQ3 / IMI3 with HV Level 2: £32,676.80
  • Technician NVQ3 / IMI3 with HV Level 3: £36,691.20
  • Technician NVQ3 / IMI3 with HV Level 4: £42,889.60
  • Technician NVQ3 / IMI3 with HV Level 4 and HVT+: £45,947.20
Key Responsibilities
  • Answer TSARA cases submitted by BMW and MINI Retailers accurately and within agreed customer KPIs.
  • Take ownership of technical cases from start to completion, or elevate them when required.
  • Research and analyse cases using systems such as PuMA, TSARA, FASTA, AIR, ETK, ISTA and ZEDIS.
  • Record all case information accurately and ensure reports are maintained in a timely manner.
  • Provide clear and accurate technical feedback to DHL, BMW and other authorised stakeholders.
  • Link TSARA cases to the relevant reports and classify cases correctly in line with BMW processes.
  • Contact and elevate cases to BMW UK Technical Services where additional support is required.
  • Keep up to date with new PuMA / AIR measures and Retailer Hub announcements.
  • Participate in technical meetings, information sharing and performance updates.
  • Carry out audit checks on other team members and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support the wider team by picking up cases where needed to help meet KPIs.
  • Follow all site health and safety procedures.
  • Complete any BMW training required for the role.
  • Carry out any other ad‑hoc duties requested by management.
Requirements
  • Qualified Vehicle Technician with NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 or equivalent.
  • High Voltage qualification at Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 or HVT+.
  • Strong vehicle diagnostic and technical problem‑solving skills.
  • Good understanding of vehicle systems, repair methods and technical reporting.
  • Confident using technical systems and computer‑based platforms.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
  • Good attention to detail when reviewing, recording and managing cases.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good standard of education, including core GCSE subjects.
  • Fluent English language skills.
Desirable Experience
  • BMW Senior Technician or BMW Master Technician qualification.
  • BMW Blitz 3 High Voltage Expert qualification.
  • Previous experience using BMW systems such as PuMA, AIR, ISTA, ETK, FASTA, TSARA or ZEDIS.
  • Air conditioning qualification or other relevant technical certifications.
  • Previous experience working within a BMW, MINI or main dealer environment.
