Service Manager - Doncaster - up to £45k plus company car and bonus

The role of Service Manager is with a Material Handling Equipment company in South Yorkshire and applicants must have experience from within this industry. Benefits include a salary of up to £45k plus a car, bonus, Pension, Health Cash Plan and Life Cover.

Service Manager - Materials Handling - the job

Responsible for the depot's MHE service operation and reporting into the depot manager.

Your role will be based around the region and you will manage a team of predominantly field based engineers as well as a small office-based team.

Responsible for engineer productivity, asset upkeep, customer satisfaction, fleet spend/parts authorisations and PM schedules as well as carrying out service team 1-2-1 / appraisals.

Around 70% of your time will be spent at the depot with roughly 30% within the region, interacting with customers, engineers and inter-company colleagues.

Leading the service team by example in a way that empowers, ensuring they are trained and equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to ensure that, no matter what customers' need, they can handle it.

In order to apply for the Service Manager position, you must have:
  • A background within Material Handling Equipment or similar.
  • Experience of managing a remote and inhouse MHE service workforce, whilst maintaining high levels of health and safety within the service department environments i.e workshops, office and customer sites.
  • A demonstrable commercial outlook and mindset with the ability to motivate and organise while promoting communication, performance and providing the best customer service.
