Business Risk & Compliance Manager – IKEA Doncaster DC
We are looking for a Business Risk & Compliance Manager to help ensure a holistic and proactive safety and security risk handling function for the store.
What we offer- Start date will be discussed at interview.
- Starting salary £40,000 per annum (based on competence and experience).
- 37.5 hours a week, 5 days a week with some weekend work to meet business needs.
- Flexible working arrangements will be considered during interview.
- Knowledge of national laws and legislations related to risk management, health, safety and security.
- Knowledge of relevant risk and compliance, health, safety and security steering documents within the INGKA group.
- Experience assessing and mitigating risks in a business environment.
- Ability to implement work structures to meet local laws, regulations and IKEA policies.
- Good knowledge of crisis management and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of risk management and risk assessment processes.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, or proven knowledge in international occupational health and safety, fire safety or security.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience, or 3 years in occupational health & safety, fire safety or security.
- Ability to make well‑balanced decisions considering business, people and ethical perspectives.
- Strong sense of integrity and high ethical standards.
- Promote risk management in‑unit and share expertise to develop risk‑aware decision making aligned with area and market goals.
- Secure implementation of INGKA rules and local legislation, coaching and guiding stakeholders to maintain Business Risk & Compliance standards for a safe working environment.
- Identify local training needs and collaborate with the Area & C Leader to implement solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify root causes and minimise business loss from accidents and claims.
- Deliver subject‑matter expertise and guidance in occupational health and safety, fire safety and compliance to support operational excellence in‑store.
- Point of contact for local authorities on risk & compliance matters and follow up.
- Implement the & C agenda locally, analysing KPIs of incidents with relevant stakeholders.
- Work with the Area & C Leader on KPI analysis to ensure a safe environment.
- Ensure guidance principles, risk assessments and paperwork are aligned, completed and followed up to cultivate a knowledgeable workforce.
