Registered Manager - Family Assessment Centre
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to lead the establishment of a new Family Assessment Centre in the North of England. This service will support up to 12 families across self-contained flats and shared living spaces, providing a vital service within the community. The role offers a unique chance to influence service culture and standards from the ground up, working towards Ofsted registration and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the final stages of service setup, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met ahead of a planned opening in March of the coming year.
- Collaborate closely with the Responsible Individual to manage and complete the Ofsted registration process.
- Recruit, train and develop a new support team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and compliance.
- Oversee the delivery of evidence-based parenting assessments, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, while prioritising family stability whenever appropriate.
- Establish operational policies and procedures aligned with Ofsted regulations and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).
- Ensure the service s compliance with all safeguarding protocols and quality standards, becoming a key leader within the local authority s priority services.
- Proven experience in residential or family assessment service management within the children s social care sector.
- Deep understanding of Ofsted requirements and SCCIF standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a newly formed team.
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Ideally, holding a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Adaptability and confidence in a fast-paced start-up environment, with a strategic vision for service excellence.
Location:
Doncaster, with an immediate start preferred. The service s location offers a versatile facility set within a community-focused environment, supporting local families and children.
