Registered Manager – Children's Home (4-Bed) – Doncaster. Salary: £54,080 – £64,280 per annum plus bonuses and benefits.

First for Support are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 4-bed children's home in Doncaster. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a service from the ground up and make a real difference in young people’s lives. As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, development, and performance of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver high-quality care in line with Ofsted SCCIF, legislation, and company policies
  • Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and develop staff, including recruitment, induction, supervision, and appraisals
  • Oversee care planning, admissions, and discharges
  • Maintain accurate records and produce clear, professional reports
  • Monitor performance, quality standards, and service outcomes
  • Manage budgets and ensure effective use of financial and physical resources
  • Create and maintain staff rotas and oversee operational planning
  • Handle complaints, grievances, and disciplinary processes
  • Chair and attend internal and external meetings
  • Participate in on-call duties and occasional sleep‑ins (as required)
  • Drive continuous improvement and promote a positive, child‑focused culture
Requirements
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards)
  • Previous experience managing a children's residential service or similar setting
  • Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and young people
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour with resilience and professionalism
  • Strong communication and report‑writing skills
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive practice
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport
