Your role :

You will be responsible for the leadership, governance and operational management of a Supported Living service for adults with learning disabilities and intensive specialist support needs. The post holder will ensure people are supported to live independently within their own homes, exercise choice and control, and achieve meaningful outcomes in line with the principles of person-centred support. You will be required to join our on-call rotation to provide out-of-hours support on a pre-arranged schedule.

You

The successful candidate will have significant experience of managing Supported Living services and a strong understanding of the regulatory, operational and governance requirements associated with delivering high-quality community-based support. You will provide visible and values-led leadership, creating a culture of accountability, learning and continuous improvement.

The role requires an experienced leader who is passionate about developing others through coaching, mentoring and effective performance management, working collaboratively with people we support, families, commissioners, health professionals and community partners to deliver outstanding outcomes, maintain regulatory compliance and drive service excellence.

Essential experience, knowledge and qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or equivalent leadership role within a Supported Living service.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading services that support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and/or complex behaviours.
  • Proven experience of managing and developing operational teams through coaching, mentoring and reflective supervision.
  • Strong experience of governance and quality assurance, including audits, action planning, service improvement and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience of leading safeguarding, incident management, complaints investigations and organisational learning processes.
  • Experience of working alongside commissioners, local authorities, health professionals, families and advocates.
  • Experience of managing budgets, staffing resources, occupancy growth and service performance.
  • Experience of leading services through CQC inspections and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and best practice guidance.
  • Thorough understanding of CQC regulations, Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, Mental Capacity Act, Positive Behaviour Support and safeguarding legislation.
  • Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, quality assurance systems, risk management and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to analyse performance data, identify trends and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of service sustainability, growth and resource management.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or willingness to achieve within agreed timescales.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the service which is currently in the Doncaster area with a view of expanding outside of this area as part of our growth plans.
