Production Manager
Location:
Doncaster
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE plus KPI Bonus
Hours:
42 hours per week, Monday to Saturday (with flexibility on day off to suit business needs)
Reporting to:
Operations Manager
Purpose of the Role
As Production Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the production operation, ensuring customer orders are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification whilst driving productivity, quality, cost and service performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered on time, in full and to specification.
* Drive site performance across key operational KPIs including labour efficiency, yields, giveaway, service levels and production costs.
* Develop, motivate and coach Production Teams to achieve operational excellence.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement using Lean manufacturing principles.
* Work closely with Planning, Technical, HR, Engineering, Purchasing and Finance to maximise site performance.
* Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Quality, Health & Safety and all legislative requirements.
* Lead daily production reviews and implement corrective actions.
* Support site projects and business improvement initiatives.
* Champion employee engagement and foster a positive, high-performance culture.
* Produce accurate operational reports and analyse production data.
Skills & Experience
You will have previous Production Management experience within a fast-paced FMCG or Food Manufacturing environment, with a proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams. You will possess strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, along with experience delivering operational KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will be confident using Microsoft Office and business systems to monitor performance and report on key metrics, with the ability to prioritise workloads, manage multiple priorities effectively and make sound decisions in a dynamic production environment
