Thrive Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Steelwork Fabricator / Welder to join our client’s busy and dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator with a strong background in heavy steelwork, construction, rail or highways to secure ongoing work within an established industrial environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating heavy steelwork to a high standard, producing bespoke products and working from engineering drawings to ensure all work is completed accurately and safely. You will be required to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent standards of quality and health and safety.

The role involves working across the rail, highways and construction sectors, with a particular focus on heavy steel fabrication. You will be required to interpret engineering drawings and fabricate components from scratch, ensuring that finished products meet the required specifications and quality standards.

We are looking for someone who is a confident Plater/Fabricator with ideally five or more years of relevant experience within the heavy steel industry. Ideally, you will be apprentice trained or hold relevant industry qualifications and have strong MIG welding experience. Previous experience operating fabrication machinery is also essential, along with the ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings.

This is a hands-on role and requires someone who is physically fit, reliable and comfortable working in an industrial environment. The working environment can involve exposure to loud noise, dust and varying conditions, and the role will involve manual handling and extended periods of standing.

Days, afternoons and night shifts are available, providing flexibility for candidates looking for different shift patterns.
