About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Production Administrator to join our client's engineering business based in Doncaster. This is a key role acting as the vital link between the production and planning teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations through accurate administration, reporting, and communication.
Key Responsibilities- - Act as the central point of contact between the production and planning teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication
- - Provide regular updates on production progress, schedules, and any changes affecting output
- - Support production forecasting, helping to track and predict workload and capacity
- - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across all production administration tasks
- - Raise issues, delays, and discrepancies promptly to the relevant teams
- - Prepare and distribute reports on production performance, delays, and KPIs
- - Liaise closely with the planning team to align schedules and resolve conflicts
- - Support general administrative duties across the production department
- - Maintain and update spreadsheets, trackers, and databases with a high level of accuracy
- - Flag any risks to production timelines and elevate where necessary
- - Strong Excel skills - confident using formulas, spreadsheets, and data tracking tools (essential)
- - Excellent administrative skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- - Clear and confident communicator, comfortable liaising between different teams
- - Ability to work proactively, spotting and raising issues before they
- - Experience in a production, manufacturing, or engineering environment is desirable but not essential
- - Comfortable working with reporting and forecasting data
- - Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player
- - Calm under pressure with the ability to problem-solve
- - Confident raising concerns and communicating delays or issues clearly
- - A genuine interest in supporting an efficient, well-run production operation
