HRGO Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing company for Paint Plant Operatives to join their production team in Doncaster. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous paint plant or powder coating experience looking for a hands‑on role within a busy manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and hanging aluminium components onto the paint line, carrying out colour changes, ensuring pre‑treatment of parts is completed and preparing finished products for despatch. You will also be responsible for maintaining high‑quality standards throughout the process and ensuring products meet the required Golden Sample standard.

- Hang aluminium parts onto the paint line
- Prepare parts by taping, bunging and cleaning where required
- Ensure pre‑treatment of parts is completed
- Carry out colour changes between different parts and processes
- Clean the paint booth ready for the next colour process
- Identify any product quality deficiencies and carry out re‑tapping where required
- Prepare and pack finished parts ready for despatch
- Finish products to a high‑quality standard, ensuring they are identical to the Golden Sample
- Check visual aids before completing each process
- Safely and efficiently use and control machinery, tooling and equipment
- Ensure all equipment remains in its designated area
- Maintain a clean and satisfactory working area in line with company Health & Safety requirements
- Report any wrongdoing or concerns to a member of the SMT when required
- Work closely with the Immediate Line Supervisor
- Take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and that of others
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the Line Manager
- Previous experience working on a paint plant is required
- Previous powder coating experience is advantageous
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing demands
- Punctual, reliable and trustworthy
- Willing to undertake relevant training
- Able to manage time effectively
- Self‑motivated and willing to use own initiative
- Able to work without direct supervision
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements
- Able to maintain high standards of quality
- Available to work Days, Afters and Nights
Days: Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm - £12.71 per hour
Afters: Monday to Thursday, 2pm-11pm - £14.12 per hour
Nights: Monday to Thursday, 11pm-5am - £16.95 per hour
Contract: Various
