PLATER / WELDER
We are recruiting for an experienced Plater / Welder to work for our client who are in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
THE DUTIES OF A PLATER / FABRICATOR:- Reading engineering drawings
- MIG welding on mild steel components to engineering specifications
- Prepare materials prior to welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and structural standards
- Work closely with fabricators and other team members to meet production deadlines
- Use welding equipment and tools safely and correctly
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE
SKILLS:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a welder in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Competence in MIG welding
- Excellent communication skills
HOURS:
Monday – Thursday 6am - 2.30pm / Friday 6am-1pm
THE PAY:You will earn between £17.50-£18.25 per hour
