We are excited and proud to offer an opportunity to become part of our dynamic, friendly day surgery team on Rockingham ward. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic NMC registered Nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our well‑established nursing team with a commitment to delivering high quality individualised patient centred care. We are looking for a nurse with a wide range of experience and an interest in surgery to join our day surgery team.,
Main duties will include the assessment, planning, implementation and ongoing individualised holistic care for our patients from admission through to discharge.
Rockingham ward provides a high standard of clinical care to our patients five days per week. As the unit develops this service may expand to six days per week. Rockingham ward will equip nurses with skills in high quality essential nursing care and in managing and prioritising workload to ensure the safe, effective nurse led discharge of our patients following their elective procedure.
Rockingham ward is an elective day surgery unit based at Montagu Hospital Mexborough. We provide a variety of surgical procedures and care to our elective surgical patients from admission to discharge. As such, it offers excellent opportunities to expand your experience within a day surgery setting and provides experience in treating a wide range of surgical conditions such as Orthopaedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic oral and Max fax, Gynaecology, Urology, Podiatric and General Surgery.
