We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Lindholme, a Category C male adult prison based in Doncaster, with operational capacity of around 900.
About the RolePrimary Care Nurse in a Category C male prison setting. Role involves multi‑disciplinary teamwork and patient care within a secure environment.
Hours37.5 hours per week, 11‑hour shifts, 7:30 am – 7:30 pm, with at least one weekend per month.
SalaryFull‑time, annual salary up to £41,659 per annum, FTE, depending on experience.

Candidates must have legal right to work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, offers will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Responsibilities- Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions.
- Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
- Deliver nurse‑led clinics to patient groups, supported by the team.
- Provide evidence‑based care, seek and act on patient feedback to personalise care.
- Deliver non‑judgemental care that makes a real difference.
- Forge strong links with partners and stakeholders.
- Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence‑based care, and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
- Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care and build strong multi‑disciplinary teams.

- Registered Nurse – Adult.
- Current professional qualification (NMC).
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Understanding of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working.
- A non‑judgemental and compassionate approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
