Our Adult Inpatient Unit has recently undergone a £5 million-pound modernisation project, which was completed in September 2023. Our inpatient areas have been completely refurbished in line with national guidance for safety standards, complete with enhanced safety features using the latest healthcare technology innovation.

We are a warm and friendly diverse team here in Doncaster and pride ourselves on working together as a whole service to provide a high standard of person‑centred care to our patients.

We value forward‑thinking professionals who have a rigorous understanding of risk assessment and risk management supported by good working knowledge of the principles of acute care and management.

• Provide professional, managerial and robust clinical leadership to a specified ward area.
• Promote and assure robust risk assessment and management processes.
• Provide financial management within the constraints of the identified budget, as directed by the Modern Matron.
• Actively support and participate in the integration of a whole‑system approach with multi‑disciplinary working at all times.
• Perform delegated duties on behalf of the Modern Matron in their absence.
• Ensure everyone, including staff, patients and visitors, is treated with respect and their values and beliefs are maintained, ensuring privacy and dignity.

• Resilient and experienced registered mental health or learning disability nurse.
• Rigorous understanding of risk assessment and risk management and good working knowledge of acute care principles.
