The Canal & River Trust is seeking a Waterway Operative to maintain and improve our Yorkshire & North East waterways, with a focus on Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation. This hands‑on, outdoor role includes maintenance work, operating locks and bridges, and working with volunteers to deliver great visitor experiences.
Based at Doncaster depot with travel across the network and occasional other areas, the job runs on annualised hours, five days out of seven, plus a 24‑hour standby shift.
