Role Description The Senior Property Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Doncaster, responsible for overseeing a portfolio of residential properties and ensuring all landlord and tenant obligations are met. Day-to-day tasks include managing tenancies from instruction to move-out, arranging and overseeing property inspections, coordinating maintenance and repairs, and handling rent collection and arrears. The role involves preparing tenancy documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and safety standards, and maintaining accurate records in property management systems.
The Senior Property Manager will respond to tenant and landlord queries, resolve issues promptly, and provide guidance to junior team members. This position requires close collaboration with the wider sales and lettings team to support business growth and deliver a consistent, high-quality service.
Qualifications
- Strong property management skills, including tenancy administration, lease negotiation, and portfolio oversight.
- Experience coordinating inspections, maintenance, repairs, and contractor relationships.
- Knowledge of UK lettings legislation, compliance requirements, and health and safety standards relevant to residential properties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with landlords, tenants, colleagues, and external partners.
- Proficient organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Comfort using property management software, CRM systems, and standard office applications.
- Proven experience in a senior or advanced property management role within residential sales or lettings.
- Ability to work independently on site, exercise sound judgment, and handle challenging situations calmly and fairly.
- Relevant industry accreditation (e.g., ARLA Propertymark or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Valid right to work in the UK and flexibility to attend appointments and inspections as required in Doncaster and surrounding areas.
