Melody Maison is a growing online retailer specialising in mirrors, furniture and home accessories. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to support our buying and trading teams in delivering strong product availability, healthy stock levels and profitable sales growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded and highly organised merchandiser who enjoys using data to make decisions in a fast-paced, product-led environment.
The RoleWorking closely with Buying, Marketing, Finance and Operations, you will help manage stock performance across our product ranges and support the planning, forecasting and delivery of seasonal and core collections.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analysing sales, stock, margin and product performance.
- Producing and maintaining accurate sales and stock forecasts.
- Supporting intake, replenishment and open-to-buy planning.
- Monitoring stock cover, availability, sell-through and aged stock.
- Identifying stock risks, including overstock, stockouts and slow-moving lines.
- Recommending repeat orders, markdowns, promotions and clearance activity.
- Supporting range planning and new-product launches.
- Tracking purchase orders, supplier lead times and expected delivery dates.
- Ensuring stock arrives in line with marketing campaigns and key trading periods.
- Preparing weekly and monthly trading reports.
- Working with the warehouse and operations teams to consider capacity and intake requirements.
- Maintaining accurate merchandising data and reporting.
We would like to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Merchandiser or in a similar merchandising role.
- Strong forecasting, stock-planning and analytical skills.
- Confidence working with sales, stock and margin data.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of retail KPIs.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence using merchandising or reporting systems.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Clear communication and strong cross-functional working skills.
- A proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities.
Experience with in furniture, homewares, interiors, e-commerce or another product-led retail business would be an advantage.
About YouYou will be commercially focused, confident with numbers and comfortable taking ownership of your area. You should be able to turn data into clear actions and communicate your recommendations effectively across the business.

Salary£32,000–£34,000 per year, depending on experience.
