About the Role:

Doncaster Council is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and experienced social worker to contribute to safeguarding and improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families in the community.

As part of the MASH Team, you will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, responding to safeguarding referrals and carrying out thorough assessments. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in child protection and safeguarding who are looking for a challenging and rewarding position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and assess safeguarding referrals, providing expert advice and interventions.
• Work collaboratively with health, education, police, and other agencies to safeguard children and vulnerable adults.
• Prepare high-quality reports for court and other legal proceedings, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Provide consultation and support to colleagues and partner agencies regarding complex cases.
• Ensure that all work is child-centred, evidence-based, and in line with Doncaster's safeguarding procedures.

Essential Criteria:

• Social Work Degree or equivalent qualification.
• HCPC registration as a Qualified Social Worker.
• Proven experience working within a safeguarding or MASH setting (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work as part of a multi-agency team.

Essential Requirements:
Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
Social Work England Registration
Driving license and access to own vehicle
