The closing date is 22 March 2026

The role involves offering specialist digital resilience support as part of the EPRR function, with an emphasis on delivering clinically led assistance to medical staff, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals. This includes responsibilities related to business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) arrangements associated with the Trust's ORBIT Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme.

The post holder will work across EPRR, programme teams, Digital/IT Operations, suppliers and service areas to:

  • ensure digital and clinical services have practical downtime, fallback and recovery arrangements;
  • coordinate and evidence testing and exercising of those arrangements;

Interviews will be held on the 8th April 2026.

Main duties of the job

Support the roll‑out and embedding of the DBTH Digital Transformation Programme across clinical areas as part of the deployment team, with a focus on Trust‑wide documentation for EPRR, business continuity and disaster recovery, in support of the ORBIT Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme.

Provide hands‑on support to clinical teams to implement new ways of working linked to ORBIT, working closely with clinical, ICT and supplier deployment teams to deliver new systems (including mobile technologies). Make sure ORBIT‑dependent services have practical downtime, fallback and recovery arrangements in place.

Coordinate and evidence testing and exercising of continuity and recovery arrangements, and support safe service continuity during planned change (including cut‑over/go‑live) and unplanned disruption.
