Overview
Social Worker
- Children’s – contract position. Our client is seeking a committed Social Worker
- Children’s to join their central team on a temporary contract. The role offers a 2-week contract with potential for further discussions based on current needs. This is a fantastic chance to make a meaningful impact within a supportive environment.
- Conduct assessments for children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Develop and review child protection plans.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
- Collaborate with multi-agency teams to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Attend team meetings and court proceedings as required.
- Provide support and guidance to children and their families throughout the intervention process.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and organisational policies.
This is a 30-hour per week position, with working days and times to be discussed during the interview. The role is for maternity cover expected to run until November, with 12-week review periods to assess progress and potential extension.
Candidate Responsibilities- Carry out thorough assessments and risk evaluations.
- Develop and implement safeguarding strategies.
- Maintain detailed case notes and reports.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies and families.
- Attend regular supervision and team meetings.
- Adhere strictly to statutory and organisational policies.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Qualified Social Worker with valid HCPC registration.
- Proven experience in children’s social care and safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work efficiently within tight deadlines.
- Compassionate approach to working with children and families.
