We're now looking for a motivated and compassionate Hospital Liaison Substance Misuse Worker to join our team at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

Hospital Liaison is an exciting partnership between ADS and Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH). You'll be part of the wider Aspire treatment Service, working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced hospital environment.

No two days will be the same. You'll have the opportunity to make a difference at a crucial point in someone's life, supporting people to take the first steps towards positive change and helping reduce future hospital attendance.

You'll work with people experiencing substance use problems across Accident & Emergency and inpatient wards, providing:

• Advice, information and brief interventions
• Assessments of risk and need
• Support to engage with specialist substance misuse treatment
• Practical, person-centred interventions that encourage positive change
• Collaborative working with hospital colleagues and wider services

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your experience and career within the substance misuse field, which is experiencing significant growth and development.

We're looking for someone who is compassionate, motivated and committed to improving outcomes for people affected by substance use.

You should have relevant experience in the substance misuse field and hold a relevant qualification, such as:

• A degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or a related subject or
• Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent
• Level 3 Tackling Substance Misuse qualification or equivalent

Newly qualified Social Workers are welcome to apply - we support the ASYE programme.

You'll need to be confident working with people who may have complex needs, able to build trusting relationships quickly and comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The service operates 7 days a week, from 8am to 8pm, so you'll need to be willing to work on a rota basis.

• Salary: £26,682 - £32,559, depending on experience
• 29 days' annual leave, rising to 31 days after 2 years and 34 days after 5 years, plus Public Holidays

The majority of our funding comes through contracts with statutory commissioners such as Local Authorities and the NHS, but we receive valuable income from charitable grants and individual fundraising efforts which supports many of our most innovative services. We are governed by a Board of Trustees.
