About the Service

A safe home is the solid base from which you build your life. We support people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women and young people.

Accommodation to us doesn’t just mean a roof over your head and shelter from the elements. It needs to be a welcoming and flourishing environment, offering opportunities for all those we support to feel comfortable and develop. About the Job

Open House Plus, located in Doncaster, is a 26 room supported accommodation for people experiencing homelessness. Our project provides supported accommodation for individuals with a number of complex needs. As a Support Worker at Open House Plus, you will have the opportunity to join our passionate team who are dedicated to empowering those who we support. We are committed to delivering high quality support, and we welcome your expertise and dedication in order to help us to continue making a positive impact in the lives of those we support.

You will be given training on all aspects of the role as well as taking part in case management reviews with the whole team.

Our project operates on a shift schedule; therefore, flexibility is essential as shift times may vary to ensure uninterrupted support.

Role Summary

The Support Worker plays a crucial role within Changing Lives, providing information, advice and guidance, which is undertaken via referral and direct individual support. The Support Workers aim is to empower the people we support to live independently and work towards overcoming the interconnected problems that lead them into accessing our services.
