School Improvement Advisor; Safeguarding BFF

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a School Improvement Advisor (Safeguarding) with Doncaster Council, working within Children, Young People and Families services. This hybrid role, based at the Civic Office, Waterdale, involves challenging and supporting schools on robust safeguarding procedures, providing advice on complex and sensitive safeguarding issues, and acting as a professional adviser at LADO meetings and Doncaster Safeguarding Children's Partnership Board sub-groups.

You will oversee performance and impact data for vulnerable cohorts, lead on the statutory Section 175 process, manage the Doncaster DSL Network, and contribute to MARAC and multi-agency safeguarding forums. The role requires a sound and current knowledge of statutory safeguarding frameworks including Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children, plus experience leading training and quality assurance activity across schools.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced safeguarding professional to make a strategic impact across Doncaster's education sector. Running from 21 September to 31 December 2026, paying £250 per day.
