The Growth Company's (GC) Ministry of Justice (MoJ) Personal Wellbeing team has an exciting opportunity for a Wellbeing Key Worker to support individuals under the supervision of the National Probation Service. The role focuses on helping people improve their health and wellbeing, overcome barriers, and achieve sustainable progress towards employment, training, and education through the delivery of tailored support, guidance, and wellbeing interventions.
MoJ supports men on probation to build the skills, confidence, and connections needed to make positive and lasting changes in their lives. Through tailored one-to-one support, we help individuals improve their wellbeing, strengthen relationships, overcome challenges, and develop the tools they need to move forward and create a more positive future.
This is a split role between HMP Marshgate and Doncaster community.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver personalised wellbeing support tailored to individual needs and levels of complexity.
- Manage a diverse caseload, supporting service users to achieve positive wellbeing outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop strength-based action plans.
- Deliver one-to-one support, group workshops, and digital interventions.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with local health, wellbeing, and community services.
- Facilitate and evaluate wellbeing-focused group sessions.
- Ensure accurate case management and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the National Probation Service to support engagement and rehabilitation.
- Passionate about supporting individuals to improve their wellbeing and achieve positive outcomes.
- Experienced in managing caseloads within a target-driven environment.
- Confident delivering both individual and group-based interventions.
- Skilled at building positive relationships with service users and partner organisations.
- Able to work effectively with individuals within a Criminal Justice, rehabilitation, or support setting.
- Knowledgeable about local health, wellbeing, and community support services.
- Committed to continuous professional development and acting on feedback.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and partnership-working skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and achieve performance targets.
- Experience using digital platforms and technology to deliver support services.
Competence in completing assessments and producing high-quality action plans. - Understanding of wellbeing support and behaviour change approaches.
- Knowledge of quality and compliance requirements within Justice or support services.
- Awareness of approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, Mental Health First Aid, ACEs, or Substance Misuse support is desirable.
- Ability to work in line with organisational values, safeguarding, and health and safety requirements.
