Transport Planner

Full-Time £33,000 - £40,000

Are you a proactive, hands-on operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment? We are working with a well-established, nationwide transport specialist to recruit an Operations Supervisor / Planner to join their growing team.

The Role

As a central part of the operations team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating vehicle routes, managing daily transport activity and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning routes, collections and deliveries to maximise efficiency and service levels
• Managing transport activity through the TMS system
• Acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day operational issues
• Liaising with internal teams and customers regarding bookings, updates and queries
• Ensuring vehicles are dispatched on time, prioritising workloads effectively
• Supporting driver communication, scheduling and compliance
• Promoting health & safety standards across the site

Working hours are Monday-Friday on a rotating shift pattern (early and late shifts).

What We're Looking For

• Experience with in transport, logistics or planning
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and influence a team
• A positive, adaptable and solution-focused mindset
• Good geographical knowledge and understanding of driver regulations
• Confident IT skills
• Counterbalance FLT licence desirable
