People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Driver's Mate to join our well-established client based in Doncaster

  • £12.71 per hour
Shift Pattern
  • Monday to Saturday
  • Start times can be as early as 04:00

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Driver's Mate
, you will work:

  • Assisting drivers with deliveries to customers' homes
  • Loading and unloading products safely and efficiently
  • Supporting drivers with route completion and delivery paperwork
  • Completing manual handling duties, including heavy lifting
  • Delivering excellent customer service at all times
  • Following all health and safety procedures and company policies
  • Assisting with the safe transportation and positioning of goods
Essential Skills

To be successful as a Driver's Mate
, you will need:

  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • Access to your own transport due to early start times
  • A good level of physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual handling duties
  • A reliable, punctual, and positive approach to work
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • A strong awareness of health and safety procedures
Training
  • Site assessment prior to starting
  • Manual handling training provided
  • Full paid induction before commencement
  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
  • Drug and alcohol screening required prior to starting
