Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for leading the financial analysis team and plays a crucial role in strategic decision-making and financial planning, specifically focused on commercial activities within the manufacturing sector. This role involves managing financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting processes to support organizational goals for a company with over $500 million in annual revenue.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of financial analysts, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Oversee financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial information.
• Conduct variance analysis and present findings to senior management.
• Provide insights and recommendations for financial decision-making.
• Develop and maintain financial models for strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support commercial growth in manufacturing.
• Analyze market trends and their impact on commercial operations.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast revenue and expenses related to commercial activities.

• Leadership and Team Management:
  Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial analysts, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
• Advanced Financial Modeling:
  Expertise in creating, maintaining, and interpreting complex financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, with a focus on commercial operations in a high-growth manufacturing environment.
• Commercial and Strategic Acumen:
  Deep understanding of commercial financial planning, including experience with revenue forecasting, cost analysis, pricing strategies, and evaluating the financial impact of sales, marketing, and operational activities.
• Data-Driven Decision Making:
  Ability to synthesize large sets of financial and operational data, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to senior management to drive business growth.

  Thorough knowledge of financial regulations, compliance standards, and best practices, ensuring all financial activities meet industry and legal requirements.
• Financial Systems Proficiency:
  Advanced proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems, SAP, Oracle) and Excel, with the ability to leverage these tools for forecasting, reporting, and data analysis.
• Market Trend Analysis:
  Strong understanding of market dynamics and economic factors impacting commercial financial operations, particularly within the cannabis and manufacturing industries.
• Budget and Forecast Management:
  Expertise in managing and developing commercial budgets, long-term forecasts, and financial strategies to support sustainable growth.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
