Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant​/Per Diem

UNITY HEALTH AND REHAB, A SKILLED NURSING FACILITY LOCATED IN MIAMI, FL, is seeking an experienced and motivatedCERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANTto workPER DIEM.

The COTA Carries out treatments under the specific care plan outlined by the evaluating therapist. Is alert to detect signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions, typically addressing goals related to activities of daily living (hygiene, dressing, bathing, toileting, feeding, etc) and reports these reactions immediately to the 0ccupational Therapist.

Salary: $35.00/hour

Qualifications:

• Must have an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
  
  Completion of an Occupational Therapist Assistant course approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Must be familiar with Net Health (documentation system) and Point Click Care
• Nursing Home experience preferred
• Bilingual (preferred)

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Being a professional and ethical team player
• Being CPR certified
• Possessing basic knowledge in all the modalities
• Understanding how a goniometer and dynamometer operate
• Ability to assist in the lifting, pulling and/or pushing or patients
• You must also be compassionate, caring and truly want to help your patients achieve their maximum physical potential
