Overview

Seasonal, full-time (40+ hours per week including Saturdays) with a mid-November through mid-December timeframe. Responsibilities center on supporting the Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Processing Center operations and volunteer engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Work side by side with employees and volunteers to carry out OCC Processing Center activities and support the mission.
  • Assist in the processing of shoebox gifts and coordinate volunteers as needed to ensure efficient operations.
  • Welcome, equip, and coach thousands of volunteers to process OCC shoebox gifts.

This position supports multiple OCC roles across the center and may include shift-specific tasks as described below.

We are hiring for the following Customer Service positions
  • Floor Coordinator Team Member: Greet, direct, and place volunteer groups at OCC processing tables in coordination with Volunteer Placers.
  • Gear Store Team Member: Facilitate sale of merchandise, maintain inventory counts, and generate financial reports.
  • Greeter Team Member: Greet and register volunteers, answer questions, and orient volunteers to the processing center.
  • Administrative Support Team Member: Manage volunteer reservations through the volunteer management system in coordination with the Processing Center Administrative Associate.
  • Parking Team Member: Greet and direct volunteers/donors to parking or drop-off locations and assist with questions and departure thanks.
  • Drop-Off Coordinator Team Member: Receive and document shoebox donations; represent OCC in a Christ-like manner and engage donors.
  • Team Coach: Welcome, train, and coach volunteers to process shoebox gifts per OCC guidelines; foster a positive, productive volunteer experience.
  • Volunteer Placer Team Member: Greet and place volunteers at open OCC processing tables in collaboration with Floor Coordinator.

Employment Timeframe:
Mid-November to Mid-December

Hours:

2nd Shift 3:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Notes:
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and able to lift/move up to 50 lbs where applicable.
