We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction business based in Dorset. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional looking to take the next step in their career with a growing and well-regarded organisation.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring costs are controlled and projects are delivered profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing project costs, budgets and forecasts.

• Preparing estimates, tenders and commercial reports.

• Procuring and managing subcontractor packages.

• Valuing works, variations and applications for payment.

• Managing subcontractor accounts and final accounts.

• Monitoring project performance and identifying commercial risks.

• Working closely with project teams, clients and supply chain partners.

About You

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector.

• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

• Good attention to detail and financial acumen.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Relevant qualifications or professional membership desirable.
