Our main site is in the county town of Dorchester near the world‑famous Jurassic Coast and other areas of outstanding natural beauty. We are expanding our team so need to appoint an additional Stroke Consultant. The stroke department provides a seven‑day service for circa 570 stroke patients admitted annually from West Dorset, but this is about to expand to over 800 following our partnership with the Somerset Health Care System. The Stroke Unit is currently being refurbished and will reopen as a 30‑bedded Hyper‑acute unit.
