Senior Care Assistant

This is a senior care assistant role at Cheriton care home, which is operated by Agincare Homes Holdings. The role involves providing person-centered care to residents, including bathing, dressing, medication administration, and leading social activities. The successful candidate will have at least 12 months of right-to-work in the UK and preferably be working towards an NVQ Level 3 qualification.

As a Senior Care Assistant at Cheriton care home, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centered care to the residents. This will include assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and oral care, as well as administering medication and leading social activities. You will contribute to care reviews and may support new or existing staff with training and development.

A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant

• Person-centred care
  - You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence
• Review
  -You will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs.
• Medication
  -You will administer residents' medication in a safe and supportive and compliant way
• Social Activity
  -You will lead in and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
• Leadership- you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called up on to lead the home where more senior managers are not available.
