Job Summary

The post-holder will work closely with all members of staff in ensuring the delivery of a high‑quality service. This will require the utilisation of good secretarial, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of word processing and other computerised systems. All administration staff appointed to the Paediatric service share the responsibility to service the needs of the department.

Main Duties

Provide comprehensive administrative support within the Paediatric Department and act as the co‑ordinator for the Neurodiversity Team. Assist in the achievement of departmental objectives and provide cover for members of the secretarial team during periods of leave or absence.

Person Specification Essential Education, Qualification & Training
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English at Grade C or above.
  • NVQ 3 in Business Administration or a similar relevant qualification.
Essential Experience
  • Experience of working with computer systems, to include Microsoft Office, in a working/academic environment.
  • Experience of working in a multi‑disciplinary team.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience of administration in a clinical setting.
  • Experience in activities such as answering queries, progress chasing & task‑related problem solving.
