About the role

A Technical Support Officer is required to work within the Highways Systems section of the Asset Team within Dorset Highways. This full time (37 hours) permanent position will provide application support to Highways users and work to bring about improvements to our service delivery using Databases, Mapping & Asset Management Software. The ability to work well as part of a small specialist team is important and a knowledge of highways functions is preferable.

What

you will be doing

The role will include supporting the day‑to‑day management of data in the Aurora system and assisting with project work within the team. The position will provide frontline support for users on both the host & mobile platform and maintenance of data: including data entry and data cleansing tasks and the analysis of relevant information using the system reporting. The post holder would benefit from experience of analysing structured data and developing bespoke reports with strong Excel capability.
