The Facilities department at Dorset County Hospital are excited to announce that we are looking for Security Supervisors, joining our expanding security team providing a 24/7 Security Service throughout the hospital.
We are looking to fulfil 2 part time positions, working to a set shift rotation. For more shift information please contact Lisa Rowland, Security Team Lead.
A background in Security is desirable but not essential as full training in security within a health care setting will be given.
Main Duties- Assist the Security Team Lead in the day‑to‑day running of the security service, deputising in their absence and undertaking general duties.
- Co‑ordinate and work as part of a team in the professional delivery of a high‑quality, multi‑tasking Security service to patients, clients and visitors.
- Supervise the Security team and work closely with all members of staff to ensure the delivery of a high‑quality service.
- Utilise good administrative, communication and interpersonal skills in all interactions.
- Assist with the management, coordination and smooth day‑to‑day running of facilities services.
- Supervise staff and manage contracts associated with these services.

Person Specification Education, Qualifications & Training- GCSE or Similar for written English Language
- Experience working within a clinical/hospital environment.
- Experience in a team leader/supervisory role.
- Experience working with a range of staff at all levels.
- Experience managing workload to meet deadlines and standards.
- Experience in performance, development and welfare of staff members.
- Attention to detail and ability to work without close supervision within broad procedural guidelines.
- Ability to make decisions within defined boundaries.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage own workload.
- Effective communication with the general public and colleagues across a range of issues.
- Understanding of confidentiality and its place in the NHS.
This role is not available for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application. We are unable to support visa applications for this post in line with UKVI regulations.

Salary£25,760 to £27,476 a year (subject to formal banding).
