Team Leader & Grounds Maintenance Operative – Dorchester

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum.

Region: Dorchester.

Job Summary: Team Leader & Grounds Maintenance Operative required for the start of the new season (March). The role involves mobile operations across multiple commercial sites including retail parks, supermarkets, offices, schools, colleges, parks, and open spaces. The candidate will lead a small team, deliver planned and reactive maintenance, and maintain customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a small team of mobile grounds maintenance operatives.
• Plan and execute planned maintenance and reactive work across multiple sites.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
• Use hand-held power tools (petrol mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, etc.) safely and efficiently.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment, perform vehicle checks.
• Carry out customer service interaction and maintain good client relationships.

Requirements:

• Experience managing a small team.
• Commercial grounds maintenance or landscaping experience.
• Proficiency in using hand-held power tools.
• Valid driving licence.
• Ability to work independently or within a small team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
