Responsibilities

Monitoring the atmosphere on the department, staying alert to tensions and disturbances.

Conducting mentor conversations with inmates, guiding them in personal trajectories.

Ensuring the H‑plaats (airlock) is safe for inmates.

Performing urine checks, monitoring for irregularities and safety risks.

Administrative tasks: booking visits, maintaining dossiers.

Waking inmates, opening doors, escorting them to appointments or activities.

Salary: €2,866 – €3,564 gross per month (36 hours).

Employment:
Fixed‑term 1 year with possibility of regularisation.

Requirements

Proof of MBO 4 work and thinking level; capacity test conducted during application.

Good physical and mental condition.

Excellent Dutch communication skills written and spoken.

Willingness to work irregular shifts.

Ability to maintain professional distance while being empathetic.

Strong self‑confidence, stress resilience, and clear boundary‑setting.
