Technical superintendent
With our client, motion compensated gangways, we are looking to expand our team with an additional Technical superintendent.
A young but growing company under the Van Aalst Group, we excel in the technical complex system in the walk 2 work world in the Offshore industry.
As a technical superintendent you will join a small but growing team that is focussed to further develop the Rental Operations of a fleet of motion‑controlled gangways in a worldwide working area.
With a management system closely related to Maritime and Offshore operations, we support our clients with spot on performance of the in‑house designed and build systems.
A technical superintendent is a controlling and organising team player that can assess technical equipment and ensure the system is operating to its best performance.
By guiding the Operators of the system on maintenance, technical challenges, repair planning and (de) mobilisations on site, the superintendent is a critical factor in the day‑to‑day operations.
The superintendent is also monitoring the spare part supplies with the purchasing team, ensuring safety is on a high standard, evaluating crew performance and dealing with long‑term planning and maintenance scope.
- Strong technical knowledge and skills of (maritime) technical equipment
- Experience/knowledge of Offshore/Maritime operations
- Ideally has a Maritime background and education
- Experience in ship/asset management, including projects
- Strong planning and organisation skills
- Knowledge of Offshore/maritime safety standards
- Proficient in English language, both verbal as written
- Excellent communication skills towards Operators, clients, subcontractors and suppliers
- A representative personality that can deal with stakeholders on both management level as well on a shipyard construction site
The day‑to‑day tasks are dynamic, where on one side we are planning the long‑term maintenance profile of a system and on the other side we prepare a mobilisation in a challenging timeline and deal with operational issues that is reported by one of the Operators on board the system.
The next day you give input during discusses on the maintenance planning and how to be more efficient and in the afternoon, you visit the warehouse to discuss a delivery of parts to Asia.
Then you plan your travel to Taiwan to supervise the mobilisation of a system on board an offshore vessel. Every day is different and bring challenges but is a step in the further stable growth of the company.
At the same time, the position offers personal growth as well as experience sharing in this dynamic world where continuous improvement is key to remain leading in the marked. We value an open culture and a safe environment to learn from challenges and where support of all team members we thrive to obtain the best results.
