Position OverviewThe successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring and motivating students to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. This involves delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons that cater to diverse abilities and interests, while fostering a love for sports and physical activity.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver high-quality PE lessons aligned with the national curriculum and the school's sporting ethos, encompassing a variety of sports and physical activities.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual development and skill enhancement.
- Contribute to the school's extracurricular sports program, potentially coaching teams and organizing events.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the PE department and across the school to enrich the overall student experience.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching PE at the secondary level.
- A passion for physical education and sports, with a strong commitment to student well‑being and development.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Adaptability and a willingness to embrace new teaching methodologies and coaching techniques.
