SEND Teaching Assistant

Pay: £104.94 - £119.70 per day, Umbrella (PAYE option available)

Location: Dorking, Surrey

Availability: Monday - Friday, Monday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Friday

• Have experience working with children with SEND, particularly SEMH
• Be calm, patient and have a proactive approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
• Team Teach training (desirable, but not essential)
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour support, and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a school or educational setting
• Some knowledge of different types of special educational needs and strategies for supporting students with those needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to take direction from teachers and other senior staff
• Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond to changing needs and priorities
• Valid UK DBS or be prepared to apply for a new one (we can do this for you)
• Please note, this role is not suitable for applicants from outside of the UK without valid, current UK right to work visa
