Working Hours:
Monday 8:30-16:00, Tuesday-Thursday 8:30-16:15, Friday 8:30-15:45

Responsibilities- Lead lessons and support individuals or groups and provide short-term cover for teachers when needed.
- Collaborate on lesson planning and create engaging learning resources.
- Promote Development:
Manage behaviour positively, foster student independence, and build self-esteem. - Track student growth, assess progress, and keep parents updated while adhering to all school policies.
- Provide pastoral care, supervise students during breaks and lunch, and escort on offsite trips.
- Partner with specialists, such as therapists, and mentor new staff or work‑experience students.
- Use ICT tools to support learning and complete all required training, such as Team Teach.
- Supervise students in general movement around the entirety of the school ensuring their safety.
- Be qualified with HLTA status or unqualified and willing to undergo training.
- The ability to interpret information for students with a wide spectrum of ability.
- Confidence with written and oral communication, organisational skills and attention to detail for meeting tight deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills within a solo‑working or team environment.
- An enthusiastic attitude towards learning, alongside committed and empathetic qualities.
- Access to your own transportation due to semi‑rural location.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check.
- Previous experience working in a role supporting students with autism spectrum disorder or within a special educational needs setting.
- Team Teach training, or willing to undergo training before employment begins and refresher training periodically thereafter.
- Term‑time only working plus 5 INSET days.
