Responsibilities

We are looking for a Teaching and Learning Support Assistant to join our team. Your role will be to support one, or a group of children, as part of a team of support staff across the school.

The teacher and learning support assistant will:

  • support individual or small groups of children to achieve learning goals within the national curriculum;
  • work as part of a team of support staff across the school;
  • take initiative and adapt to the needs of pupils and classes;
  • support the development of groups or individual children;
  • collaborate with children and adults to maintain a positive learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will be organized
, flexible
, enjoy working with and supporting children, be able to prioritise, and be able to demonstrate that they can assist to develop groups or individual children, understand the national curriculum, and work with children and adults alike. Previous experience of working with a child who has Special Educational Needs is preferable, but not essential.

Employment Details

The pay is FTE £24,141 and this will be pro-rata’d according to the hours that you work. The role will be term time plus some inset days, from 08:45 to 15:25
